Journey to success

Young Enterprise has announced Translink as one of their ‘Company Programme’ Patrons for the year. The partnership with Northern Ireland’s main public transport provider highlights the charities on-going commitment to investing in the skills of young people as future leaders of NI.

Speaking about the collaboration, Young Enterprise Chief Executive, Carol Fitzsimons MBE said: “We are delighted to join forces with such a strong local brand like Translink. Inspiring students to take ownership of their life choices and think about the careers they can have and the qualifications they need to pursue is so important. Giving our students access to the different business and industry opportunities available helps prepare them for life beyond education”.

Translink’s Head of Commercial Operations David Cowan said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people and develop their business and entrepreneurial skillset as future leaders across a wide variety of industry sectors. As a large local employer, we understand the value of a highly skilled workforce with excellent credentials to maximise our overall business performance. So we are pleased to support the work of Young Enterprise and provide pupils with expert advice and experience from an early age to inspire and help them pursue successful future careers.”

The Young Enterprise Company Programme runs every year in schools across Northern Ireland, allowing students to develop their entrepreneurial skills whilst connecting with local businesses.
